Unfortunately Gien is discontinuing the "Jardin Imaginaire" table service. We offer you some remaining stocks.

The Belgian illustrator Isabelle de Borchgrave designed the traditional "Jardin Imaginaire" dinnerware for Gien. The garden is full of animals and plants from the French Alps. "Jardin Imaginaire" from Gien is very imaginative and humorously designed in bright colours. There is an edelweiss depicted on almost every piece – the well-known and typical alpine flower.

Gien has been producing faience for almost 200 years. Faience – a fine, porous earthenware that is glazed – can be dated back to Ancient Egypt. It is a technique that was has been used and then perfected in a unique way by the Fayencerie de Gien (Gien Faience Factory) since 1821.
