The "Pont aux Choux" dinnerware is one of the classic designs of the Fayencerie de Gien. Radiating a wonderful celadon colour, the faience dinner service creates a pleasant outdoor-fresh atmosphere on every table. The "Pont aux Choux" Celadon has a timeless and graceful appearance. When combined with other patterns or with the "Pont aux Choux" in white, it looks very state-of-the-art.

The name "Pont aux Choux" was inspired by a bridge in Paris. This led to a pottery which decorated its porcelain with a rice-corn pattern. In 1819, Gien's founder bought this manufactory, thereby acquiring the ownership of the rice-corn design. Since then, this collection, which comprises a number of different finishes, has been very successful.

Faience is a fine, porous earthenware which is tin-glazed and then fired repeatedly. This thousand-year-old art of porcelain manufacture has been used by Gien since 1821.
