Ithaque Gold by Bernardaud

This dinner service is not satisfied with conventional smooth surfaces on the wide plate rims. "Ithaque Gold" by Bernardaud has higher aspirations – and one can certainly sense that. Like polished precious stones, four distinctive gold calotte-shaped ornaments rise above the plate rims of this Bernardaud tableware. The result is highly precise handcraftmanship and a fascinating design by the French designer Olivier Gagnère.

Tantalizingly tactile, the relief structure of the porcelain makes the "Ithaque Gold" a special delight for the senses. The so-called "cabochons" glint in rich gold.

The "Ithaque Platinum" dinner service by Bernardaud is similarly shaped but with more reserved colours; an elegant porcelain that more adventurous souls occasionally combine with pieces from "Ithaque Gold".
