The "Lotos no. 22" tumblers from Carl Rotter seem to have magically trapped segments of colour. A grid-like pattern covers the entire glass. The gaps are completely filled with colour. This fascinating effect displays handcraft of the highest level.
Like all the glasses from the German family business, the "Lotos no. 22" tumblers are the product of a long and intricate process. First of all, the glasses are mouthblown, after which they are coated with a layer of colour. The cutter then engraves the clear and matt grid-like motif by hand in a series of work steps.
