"Uranus no. 51" tumblers, size M by Rotter Glas

Please note: The "Uranus no. 51" tumblers are available in the size M (height: 8 cm) and in the size X (height 9.5 cm). On request they are also available in the size L (height: 10,9 cm).

The "Uranus no. 51" tumblers in size M from Carl Rotter are among the most select masterpieces of the German manufacturer Carl Rotter. The pattern, which resembles some sort of star or image of outer space, is the result of a long and skilled process.

First of all the "Uranus no. 51" tumblers, like all glasses from the German family business Carl Rotter are mouthblown and then covered with a layer of colour. The clear, matt elements are cut and engraved by hand in a series of work steps. They form an exciting contrast to the bright shades, making the coloured areas stand out.

The "Uranus no. 51" tumblers make wonderful whisky glasses for example. The amber-coloured hue of the whisky can be espied through the clear "window" in the lower area of cut glass.

S: 5.5cm high, 60 ml (2 US fl oz) capacity; perfect for spirits and espresso

M: 8 cm high, 230 ml (7.8 US fl oz) capacity; slightly less than one US-cup

X: 9.5 cm high, 280 ml (9.5 US fl oz) capacity; a typical European water glass

L: 10.9 cm high, 360 ml (12 US fl oz) capacity; a typical US water glass
