Simple and clean in shape, the "Cambridge" cutlery by Capdeco impresses with its fine craftsmanship. The handles are crafted from solid olive wood – a particularly hard and durable material valued for its striking grain and pleasant feel. Each piece is one of a kind. The stainless-steel components are perfectly balanced and comfortable to hold, making this cutlery ideal for everyday dining as well as special occasions.

Based on a long tradition of polishing and sharpening of knives, the family-owned business Capdeco has been producing for about 15 years their own exceptional flatware. Capdeco is based in the French town of Thiers, which has been known worldwide for centuries for its handcrafted cutlery.

It is recommended to handwash "Cambridge" wooden cutlery. It is suitable for the dishwasher, but use a very short program at a low temperature and follow these instructions:

  • Don’t allow food leftovers to dry on the cutlery, especially on the knife blades. Food with a high level of acidity can corrode the stainless steel and cause flash rust (although a stainless steel cleaner will remove this rust film).
  • Spoons should not be left standing in cups of coffee or tea (especially black tea) since caffeine can discolour the cutlery's handles.
  • Dry the wooden cutlery right after a dishwashing cycle with a soft tea towel.
  • Occasionally oil the wooden handle with a food-safe oil.

We have had this popular range of cutlery in our collection for over 10 years. As with any object that is used every day, however, wear and tear are unavoidable as time passes, but should not be regarded as a product defect.
