With "Adèle", Daum continues its tribute to timeless femininity. Rising gracefully from the crystal, this slender figure embodies elegance, confidence, and inner serenity. Her closed eyes and poised posture evoke a sense of quiet contemplation, while the delicate grey-violet crystal glass captures and diffuses light in a mesmerizing way, giving the sculpture an almost living presence.

Created by French sculptor Jean-Philippe Richard, "Adèle" is part of a remarkable body of work that has become synonymous with Daum’s artistic identity. Since 2002, Richard has served as an artist-in-residence at the renowned French crystal house, creating a series of iconic female figures that celebrate the many facets of womanhood. His sculptures express strength and sensitivity, independence and grace, all conveyed through refined forms and poetic simplicity.

Crafted using Daum’s celebrated pâte de cristal technique, "Adèle" showcases the exceptional craftsmanship for which the Maison is renowned. This rare and complex process allows the crystal to reveal extraordinary depth, texture, and luminosity, enhancing every subtle curve and gesture of the sculpture.

Born in Paris in 1947, Jean-Philippe Richard is regarded as a leading figure in contemporary symbolism. His work blends classical influences with a deeply poetic vision, seeking to reveal the invisible—emotion, introspection, and the quiet strength that lies beneath outward appearances. Through his sculptures, Richard pays homage to the eternal feminine, creating timeless figures that appear suspended between reality and dream.
