Like a silent tabletop firework display, the "Ambassador" glass series no. 240 by Lobmeyr invites celebratory toasts on special occasions. First presented alongside the famous "Sphere" bonbon dishes at the 1925 Exposition des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, the series marks a defining moment in the collaboration between architect and designer Oswald Haerdtl and the Viennese glassmaker Lobmeyr. The collection comprises a range of conical stem glasses, their bowls rising naturally from the slender stems and opening with an elegant, fluid line. Crafted from ultra-thin, mouth-blown muslin glass, each piece feels remarkably light and balanced in the hand. A standout feature of the series is the long-necked decanter, whose stopper doubles as a tasting glass.
Since 1823, Lobmeyr has been synonymous with glass of exceptional refinement and cultural significance. Still family-run in its sixth generation, the Viennese house has played a lasting role in shaping European design. Its ultra-thin, lead-free crystal combines remarkable lightness with impressive durability. Working in close collaboration with internationally renowned designers, Lobmeyr continues to create enduring pieces that unite heritage and contemporary design with effortless elegance.

Hand washing with a small amount of dishwashing detergent and warm water is recommended. Rinse thoroughly afterwards to ensure that no soap residue remains.
Care should be taken when drying due to the delicate material. Under no circumstances should the tea towel be stuffed into the chalice; despite its elasticity, this can cause breakage. Glasses decorated with enamel paint should not be cleaned in the dishwasher.
If using a dishwasher, select a special glass program and the recommended amount of detergent. Ensure that the items do not touch each other and that steam can escape after the program has finished.
Store containers uncovered (without lid or stopper).
