Timeless and effortlessly light, the No. 280 “Wiener Gemischter Satz” glassware collection by Lobmeyr lends a quiet elegance to both everyday rituals and more special occasions. Designed by Vienna-based studio POLKA, the series' six shapes combine a refined, precise silhouette with the characteristic delicacy of Lobmeyr’s mouth-blown crystal glass. From thoughtfully proportioned wine glasses to the classic champagne coupe, each piece offers a harmonious balance and an understated sense of sophistication. The exceptionally thin finish gives the glasses a pleasing lightness and a natural poise in the hand. A defining piece within the collection, the carafe is notably easy to handle and can be elegantly closed with a shot glass from the series, used as a stopper.

The collection takes its name from the German term "Wiener Gemischter Satz", a historic Viennese winemaking tradition cultivated for centuries in the city’s vineyards. Equivalent to what is known as a field blend in English, different grape varieties are grown side by side, harvested together and vinified as one. The resulting wines show depth, complexity, and a distinct sense of character – qualities that are subtly echoed in the collection’s clear and nuanced design.

Hand washing with a small amount of dishwashing detergent and warm water is recommended. Rinse thoroughly afterwards to ensure that no soap residue remains.

Care should be taken when drying due to the delicate material. Under no circumstances should the tea towel be stuffed into the chalice; despite its elasticity, this can cause breakage. Glasses decorated with enamel paint should not be cleaned in the dishwasher.

If using a dishwasher, select a special glass program and the recommended amount of detergent. Ensure that the items do not touch each other and that steam can escape after the program has finished.
