It is preferable to avoid direct contact with food. Remove crumbs by turning the placemat upside down and tapping the reverse. Use a handheld vacuum cleaner or a brush.
Clean the surface with a cloth soaked in water and a mild degreaser. Rinse with a damp cloth and allow the placemat to dry completely before storing.
Remove coffee, tea, wine or gravy stains quickly.
Store the placemats flat.
