Porcelain Poetry by Raynaud – The Cristobal Collection

Transforming the laid table into a coral reef of poetic elegance, Cristobal is the emblematic dinnerware collection by Raynaud for table settings inspired by the sea. Designed in 2000 by the legendary interior designer Alberto Pinto, the dinnerware pattern captivates with organic coral silhouettes in vibrant colours and shimmering gold on radiant white Limoges porcelain. Discover at Artedona the modern classic for outfitting yachts and seaside residences, made by hand in the workshops of Raynaud.

Maritime Elegance – The Cristobal Collection in Detail

As a grand master of eclecticism, the world-renowned interior designer Alberto Pinto collected antiques from various epochs and cultures, combining them with his own original creations into a unique stylistic universe. The Cristobal collection is also a symbiosis of old and new: the distinctive red hue of an antique dinner service from his collection inspired Pinto to collaborate with Raynaud on designing the Cristobal tableware.

Cristobal's monochrome design seamlessly combines form and colour to create a harmonious aesthetic. Organic coral silhouettes alternate with generous blocks of colour on individual elements, such as the rims and handles. Each piece features a different intensity of colour, decorating the delicate Limoges porcelain with vibrant tones or soft watercolour shades. Elegant gold accents and playful, coral-shaped handles add refined touches. Every piece has its own unique pattern, offering endless possibilities for combination, presentation, and interpretation.

Remaining true to its maritime theme, Cristobal is perfectly equipped for a culinary journey around the world. The extensive tableware collection includes a classic range of dinnerware items such as dinner, dessert, and cake plates in several decorative variations, a tea and coffee service, and a range of cake and serving platters. Coral-shaped knife rests and salt and pepper shakers in the form of sea urchin shells enhance the imaginative underwater theme.

The Cristobal collection offers a wide range of tableware for Asian cuisine, including Chinese porcelain spoons and bowls in various sizes, as well as a tea set comprising a teacup with a lid and a saucer. The collection is completed by a selection of decorative porcelain items, such as square trays, vases, and scented candles, which add sophisticated maritime touches to any interior.

In the Colours of the Sea – Cristobal Coral, Marine, and Emeraude

Cristobal Coral is Alberto Pinto’s original design, based on the captivating red tone of an antique service from the master interior designer’s collection. Like a living coral reef in the warm Caribbean waters, the handcrafted porcelain glows in a nuanced coral red that harmonises perfectly with the generous fine gold accents. As traditional colours of the Chinese New Year, the combination of red and gold builds cultural bridges and invites shared celebrations.

White like the clouds, blue like the sea, gold like the sunlight. Cristobal Marine transports you to the boundless expanse between sea and sky. Calm and majestic, the marine blue designs lend the white porcelain an unfathomable depth while the strong contrast brings the fine gold elements to life. Whether Mediterranean, Atlantic, or Pacific, Cristobal Marine embodies timeless elegance understood around the world.

With a mysterious emerald green hue, Cristobal Emeraude dives into the mythical world of the deep sea. Through the refined green tone, the iconic coral design tells new stories from the depths of oceanic trenches, where mythical creatures inspire the imagination. The unique design allows for both elegant and playful table arrangements, evoking typical maritime and nautical associations and transforming the laid table into an awe-inspiring underwater garden.
