Italian Renaissance by Raynaud
Raynaud's "Italian Renaissance" collection is adorned with a rich floral decor. This decor is inspired by wall coverings from the 19th century, with which the most famous residences and noble houses, for example, the Buckingham Palace, were decorated. Raynaud collaborated with the English brand Lincrusta®, renowned since 1877 for its incredible wall coverings with opulent and deep embossing.
Background history for "Italian Renaissance":
It was at the end of the 14th century that the Renaissance was born, inherited from antique classicism. This artistic current imbued with modernity and freedom embodied by emblematic and humanist personalities such as Michelangelo or Leonardo da Vinci places human beings and perspective at the center of their Art. The splendor of the silk tapestries embroidered with gold or silver threads from this period inspired Raynaud for the "Italian Renaissance" collection.
