"Ritagli" vases by Venini

The "Ritagli" vases were designed by Fulvio Bianconi, one of the most innovative and influential Italian designers of glass objects of the 20th century. He also devised the manufacturing technique, in which rectangular glass plates are attached piece by piece to a mouth-blown, conical base. Depending on the colourway, the base and plates have different colours and iridescent surfaces that amplify the mystical elegance of the vases with their colourful shimmer.

The Venini glass manufactory has been creating artistic and functional Murano glass objects since 1921. The sophisticated designs and high levels of craftsmanship have inspired a global audience for generations. Made purely by hand on the island of Murano in the Venetian Lagoon, each glass object is truly unique and an expression of Italian excellence.
