The "Marly" cutlery pattern is a piece of living dining heritage. The renowned silversmith Christofle has been producing the cutlery model since 1897. The name of the pattern pays homage to Marly-le-Roi castle. Built by Louis XIV, it was considered the prototype of the Baroque pleasure palace until its demolition in 1816. The castle's rocaille style, the French variant of the rococo, lives on in "Marly" to this day.

True to the rocaille style, "Marly" is one of Christofle's most richly decorated cutlery models. Its inviting shapes sit comfortably in the hand; graceful acanthus leaves dynamically entwine around the handles. Asymmetrical shell motifs set accents and give the cutlery its French character. Spoons and forks are designed for traditional "à la française" table setting with the pieces' backs facing upwards. Thanks to the silver plating underneath, the gold plating looks stunning and will last for a long time. Only the stainless steel blades of the knives remain unplated.

Before first use wash silverware by hand with chlorine- and citric-acid-free detergent and use only the soft side of a sponge.

Do not machine-wash old knives (pre-1968) or cutlery with gold-plated parts, lacquered handles, horn or wooden handles.

In the dishwasher, use only chlorine- and citric-acid-free powders; avoid gels, liquids, all-in-one tabs, and citrus scents.

Always keep silverware separate from stainless steel – use separate baskets or programs if necessary.

After the cycle, open the door to release steam. Follow water-hardness instructions; Silverware should not be washed in the dishwasher directly after adding regenerating salt.

Foods like eggs, lemons, mustard, and fish may yellow silver - rinse beforehand.

Do not wash crystal glasses with silver (separate program).
