The name "Osiris" is a reference to the Egyptian God of regeneration and the river Nile. And the design of the cutlery is also oriented to the plants that grow in the fertile Nile delta. The model for the design of the handle is based on the long stalks of the papyrus plants which spread out in an umbellate pattern towards the end of the handles of the knives, forks and spoons.

The "Osiris" flatware is made of high-quality and long lasting stainless steel. For the manufacture of the cutlery, Christofle uses durable chromium-nickel-steel in an 18/10 alloy.
