The collection was created in collaboration with the French illustrator Estelle Rebottaro, who has already designed the "Sologne" dinnerware for Gien. The color palette of "Les Oiseaux de la Forêt" goes perfectly with the "Sologne" décor. "Les Oiseaux de la Forêt" can also be combined with "Filets Taupe" or "Filets Gold" by Gien.
"Oiseaux de la Forêt" presents true-to-life reproductions of cute little birds on the cream-colored faience. Faience is a fine, porous kind of ceramics which is covered in a glaze. This represents a thousand-year-old art of porcelain manufacturing which was taken up by the Gien factory in the year 1821.
