"Ocean" dinner plate, motif kelp by Hering Berlin

With "Ocean", Hering Berlin interprets the traditional fish service in a new and unique way. The marine animals can be admired in various shades of cobalt blue, from deep blue to delicate turquoise degrees on the matt white bisque porcelain. The entire "Ocean" dinner service from Hering Berlin lives from the interplay of engraved and glazed bisque porcelain. When you look at the plates for example, it looks as if they have a matt, velvety rim while the centres sport a gleaming glaze.

Hering Berlin chose the Berlin illustrator Eleonore Gerhaber to design the marine creatures. She has created wonderful images for the "Ocean" porcelain dinner service, clearly depicting the motion of the sea in the rich detail as well as a lighthearted style. There is for example a shoal of herring on the presentation plate, a crayfish on the dinner plate and a squid on the soup bowl. The motifs blend in with the shapes of the individual pieces. Each animal "lives" so to speak on one particular piece.

"Ocean" from Hering Berlin can be used as a complete dinner service. In combination with "Velvet" in pure white, it is also possible to choose simply to add an ocean accent. Each piece from the "Ocean" dinnerware from Hering Berlin is a unique piece that is shaped and painted entirely by hand.

Cleaning:
Bisque porcelain is dishwasher safe. Remove stubborn residue by soaking in soapy water and cleaning with the scouring pad of a sponge. Use abrasive cleaners only on unglazed surfaces.

For bisque porcelain with precious metal decoration hand washing is recommended, but some decorations are suitable for the dishwasher. Use a soft sponge and mild detergent, not the abrasive side. When using a dishwasher, select a low-temperature program and the recommended amount of detergent. Ensure that the pieces do not touch each other and that steam can escape after the program has finished.

Avoid temperature shocks. To avoid friction when stacking, we recommend using intermediate layers (e.g. "Artedona" plate dividers).

Microwave:
Pieces without gold, silver or platinum decoration: microwave safe.
Pieces with gold, silver or platinum decoration: not suitable for microwave use due to high precious metal content.
