Fürstenberg’s "Auréole" dinner service reaches for the stars: In astronomy, aureole is the name of a luminous ring around a celestial body. Korean ceramicist Kap-Sun Hwang took his inspiration for the design of the plates, cups and dishes from this phenomenon. Thus the center of the individual pieces is slightly raised – which, in turn, elevates and highlights the food placed on them.
The design of the "Auréole" dinner service from Fürstenberg is otherwise more in line with Minimalism, displaying classical to Asian lines, nothing too ornate. Fürstenberg, the second oldest porcelain manufacturer in Germany, wants the high-quality porcelain to speak for itself.

Cleaning:
White Fürstenberg porcelain without decoration, as well as most (multicoloured) decorations, are dishwasher safe.
Porcelain with precious metal is suitable for the dishwasher, but hand wash is recommended. Hand-painted decorations should only be washed by hand.
Handwash porcelain with a soft sponge and mild dish soap. Be careful not to use the abrasive side, it may damage the surface of the decorations.
When using the dishwasher, choose a low-temperature cycle and do not exceed the recommended amount of detergent. Keep pieces separate in the dishwasher and allow the steam to escape after the program has finished.
Avoid temperature shocks. To avoid friction when stacking, we recommend using intermediate layers (e.g. "Artedona" plate dividers).
Microwave:
Pieces without gold or platinum decoration: microwave safe.
Pieces with gold or platinum decoration: not suitable for microwave use due to high precious metal content.
