The "Herzog Ferdinand – White" porcelain service from the Fürstenberg manufacturer is a timeless original from the Classicist period. Classicism was the prevalent art movement from 1770 in Europe. During this period, artists turned away from the playful ornamentation of Rococo towards stricter and clearer lines, and the composition of shapes used in architecture was also reflected in dining culture.

"Herzog Ferdinand – White" was designed around 1780. This timeless classic from Fürstenberg is adorned with straight, cylindrical shapes, square handles, and stylised pine cones as lid knobs. The porcelain manufacturer Fürstenberg was founded in 1747 and is Germany’s second-largest porcelain manufacturer.

Cleaning:
White Fürstenberg porcelain without decoration, as well as most (multicoloured) decorations, are dishwasher safe. Porcelain with precious metal is suitable for the dishwasher, but hand wash is recommended. Hand-painted decorations should only be washed by hand. Handwash porcelain with a soft sponge and mild dish soap. Be careful not to use the abrasive side, it may damage the surface of the decorations.

When using the dishwasher, choose a low-temperature cycle and do not exceed the recommended amount of detergent. Keep pieces separate in the dishwasher and allow the steam to escape after the program has finished.

Avoid temperature shocks. To avoid friction when stacking, we recommend using intermediate layers (e.g. "Artedona" plate dividers).

Microwave:
Pieces without gold or platinum decoration: microwave safe.
Pieces with gold or platinum decoration: not suitable for microwave use due to high precious metal content.
