"Utensils should be beautiful, otherwise they do not fulfil their purpose." It was on the basis of this maxim that Wilhelm Wagenfeld, the renowned Bauhaus designer, created a dinner service for the Fürstenberg porcelain manufactory in 1934. Today, the design is still regarded as a milestone in the history of porcelain and crockery manufacture. Just three years after its creation, Wilhem Wagenfeld's so-called "Form 639" was awarded a gold medal at the World Exhibition in Paris. Its distinct shape and soft flowing lines makes "Form 639" a timeless, classic and aesthetically pleasing dinner service. The range has now been extended to include numerous additional articles such as vases, dishes and lamps.

Cleaning:
White Fürstenberg porcelain without decoration, as well as most (multicoloured) decorations, are dishwasher safe.
Porcelain with precious metal is suitable for the dishwasher, but hand wash is recommended. Hand-painted decorations should only be washed by hand.
Handwash porcelain with a soft sponge and mild dish soap. Be careful not to use the abrasive side, it may damage the surface of the decorations.
When using the dishwasher, choose a low-temperature cycle and do not exceed the recommended amount of detergent. Keep pieces separate in the dishwasher and allow the steam to escape after the program has finished.
Avoid temperature shocks. To avoid friction when stacking, we recommend using intermediate layers (e.g. "Artedona" plate dividers).
Microwave:
Pieces without gold or platinum decoration: microwave safe.
Pieces with gold or platinum decoration: not suitable for microwave use due to high precious metal content.
