The "Filets Pivoine" dinnerware is a new colour variation of the famous blue classic "Filets Bleu" from Gien. The enchanting shell shape of the dinner service of ecru-coloured faience is adorned with a hand-painted line in pivoine (pink). This shade is different from the color "Filets Rose" by Gien. Unfortunately "Filets Rose" is no longer produced. The delicate brush strokes applied by hand make each piece unique.
Faience is a fine, porous earthenware which is tin-glazed and then fired repeatedly. This technique dates back to the time of the Ancient Egyptians. It is a technique that has been used and perfected in a unique way by the Fayencerie de Gien (Gien Faience Factory) since 1821.
