Kurland Pastel by KPM

To celebrate its 250th anniversary, the Berlin porcelain manufacturer KPM designed the spectacular "Kurland Blanc Nouveau" dinnerware. Now the collection has been extended to include "Kurland Pastel". Six wonderful pastel colours bring a touch of summer freshness to your table. By combining the white with the delicate pastel colours, the distinctive antique-style border of matt bisque porcelain is accentuated even more.

The interplay of glazed shiny surfaces with matt bisque porcelain is not only an optical but also a haptic experience. In order to present the relief in its fullest glory, the porcelain is dipped in the relevant colour before the so-called glaze firing. After drying, the porcelain artist uses a fine bristle brush to remove the glaze from the relief until the colour reappears. The smooth rim highlights both the visual and haptic contrast between the matt bisque porcelain and the high-gloss glaze.

"Kurland Pastel" can be beautifully combined with the white "Kurland Blanc Nouveau" dinner service. The nice thing about pastel colours is that they not only look beautiful in combination with Kurland Blanc Nouveau, but can also be combined with the other pastel colours in the same line.
