Pumpkin bottles by Theresienthal

Every crystal glass product from the Theresienthal manufactory is a unique work of art - not merely something to look at and admire, but something to enchant you when you use it. These pumpkin bottles, one of the most well-known products from the Theresienthal glass manufactory, certainly fulfil this traditional glassmaker's claim in every way. The bottle's name comes from the four-part metal mould in which it is cast. As the glass is blown, eight oval openings allow the glass to escape from the mould. This is how the bottle acquires its pumpkin-like appearance. On the surfaces which do not touch the metal mould, the glass maintains its fire-polish effect which gives the bottle its unmistakable shine.
