"Planet Earth" glasses by Theresienthal

Do you like bees and woodland creatures or do you prefer the depths of the oceans or the vastness of space? Whatever your particular taste, the highly diverse and attractively designed glass creations in Theresienthal’s "Planet Earth" series offer you a choice of motifs from five different thematic arrangements. The designer Christian Haas, who created this series for Theresienthal, combines intricately cut and engraved glass both with rich colours as well as plain smoke-grey and clear glass.

Three "Planet Earth" tumblers and one jug make up each thematic unit and in each case Theresienthal cleverly combines recognisable figures with matching abstract patterns.

• The "Deep Sea" composition radiates pure poetry with its combination in blue colours: a variety of sea creatures, a whale and a fishing net.
• Another group of tumblers, "Planet Earth", plays with the honeycomb structure and displays the bees shining in their mandarin colours.
• Ants and brown owls prefer to show themselves against a darker backdrop.
• Astronauts, clouds and continents round off the assortment of tumblers in Theresienthal’s "Planet Earth" series.
• Effective engraving on a powerful green or pink background provides the tropical environment for the parrot and monkey motifs.

Please avoid heating your glasses above 50°C and exposing them to abrupt temperature changes, such as by adding ice cubes to sun-warmed glasses or pouring hot tea into cold glasses. High temperatures and rapid changes create stresses that can lead to breakage – sometimes only later.

Glasses with paintings, gilding, or platinum plating must never be placed in the dishwasher, as precious metals and enamel colors can be damaged or washed out.

Plain glasses as well as cut or engraved glasses may be cleaned in the dishwasher, but only below 50°C and without harsh detergents. However, hand wash is recommended, as dishwashers can dissolve glass components and cause the surface to become cloudy over time.

It is best to use a pure linen cloth for drying and polishing.

For candle holders: to avoid thermal shock, change the candle before the flame is 3 cm away from the crystal.
