"Feuilles" bowls by Theresienthal

The "Feuilles" bowls by Theresienthal take their name from the elaborate foliage with which they are engraved. The glass artists from Theresienthal engrave the leaf motif seen on these elaborate bowls completely by hand. The highlight of the bowls is its "two-layered" crystal glass. The engraving process involves cutting through the outer, very thin coloured glass layer so that the lower clear glass layer is revealed. This makes the artistic engraving seem particularly light producing a clear contrast to the coloured glass. This fine engraving is what makes the crystal glass so precious.

The bowl set from Theresienthal is available in three colours and sizes. Theresienthal also has a range of "Feuilles" glasses that match the "Feuilles" bowls.

All of Theresienthal's glasses are completed handcrafted, from the time the glassblower starts his work and until the pieces receive their final polish. Fine air bubbles in the glass are a result of the manual production process and underline the individual character of the crystal glass.
