The painted table flowers by Nymphenburg are something very special because they are made of porcelain. Each individual petal is as unique as its real counterpart in nature – and is completely handcrafted by the porcelain manufacturer Nymphenburg. The fine table flowers not only make a decorative centrepiece on a table but also make magnificent ornaments on a sideboard.

Nymphenburg recounts the story behind the table flowers as follows: "In the heyday of the Rococo Period, it was frowned upon to decorate a table with real flowers as it was possible that they could wither or their scent could detract from the pleasure of the meal." And thank goodness for that. Were it not the case, the mastery of the handmade Nymphenburg blossoms may not have unfolded with such variety. Without the use of dies, the hands of our craftspeople gradually form the miniatures into a flower through the careful shaping and adding of dozens of individual leaves, fine filaments and delicate stems."
