"Happy Pills" by Venini

The designer Fabio Novembre is behind the "Happy Pills" fun glass objects from Venini. The Italian designer is regarded as a bit of an eccentric by many people. When the glass manufacturer Venini asked him to work with them on a project, it was predictable that something quite unusual might be the result. The result is the "Happy Pills" series with its guaranteed good mood factor.

The mouth-blown Venini glass objects are very much art objects but that doesn’t mean they cannot be used as a vase. The shape and colour makes you think of "happy" pills from the pharmaceutical industry. Fabio Novembre's tongue-in-cheek idea was to show that playful design can have exactly the same effect as real pills. The result is five different colour combinations in radiant colours of Murano glass. The chemical formula of the happiness hormone is discreetly engraved on each vase.
