The "Lion Sand" sculpture by Daum reflects the strength and power of this majestic animal. The name "Lion Sand" is an allusion to the sand river that flows through the Sabi Sand Reserve in the heart of the Kruger National Park. The diverse fauna of this area attracts many families of lions. The Kruger Park is the largest game reserve in South Africa.

Every faithfully detailed lion is handmade from a so-called crystal glass paste. This results in an impressive play of colours and a velvety surface.
