"Saturn" vase & bowl by Artel

The "Saturn" vase and bowl by Artel add a new dimension to crystal glass. Created by the country’s best glass blowers and engravers, the beautiful pieces from the Czech glassworks Artel present handcraftsmanship at its best.

The modern graphic design bears the signature of Karen Feldman. The founder and chief designer of Artel took her inspiration from the rings of Saturn.
However, it is not only the planets that serve as models for the American designer, she has also transformed a typical Art Deco motif used for fabrics into glass art.
The glass was sandblasted in order to recreate the characteristic texture of the fabric. The result: a modern graphic décor with an almost velvety enamel.
