"Anemones" vases, h 33 cm by Lalique

Lalique has transformed the filigree and ephemeral anemone blossom into a perennial crystal-glass flower. On the "Anemones" vases, you will discover a whole array of these wonderful blossoms in relief form. The anemone motif first appeared in the Lalique collection on 1 May 1931. It was from that date that the company founder René Lalique began taking his inspiration from this wonderful flower for his crystal glass creations.

The French brand Lalique always manages to imbue the otherwise rather cold appearance of glass with poetry and sensuousness: as it does again here with the "Anemones" vase. As soon as the crystal glass has been shaped and cooled it is cut and polished. Many individual production steps are necessary to achieve the perfection of these Lalique vases.
