"Deco" vases by Venini

Each piece from Venini is a stunning example of Italian workmanship of the highest level in mouth blown Murano glass – and each is one of a kind. The design for the "Déco" vases comes from Napoleone Martinuzzi , who was the artistic director of Venini for many years at the beginning of the twentieth century. In 1930, inspired by the Art Deco movement, he designed these "Deco" vases. His design brings together geometric form with feminine curves. The "Deco" vases from Venini have become coveted collectors pieces among glass connoisseurs.

What makes Venini glass so special are the many colours with which the Venetian glass manufacturer produces its high-quality Murano glass. Achieving the superior colouring of Murano glass demands the utmost precision of the Venini glass blowers as they put together the various constituents. The traditional glass-blowing technique used by the employees of Venini to manufacture each piece is a craft that very few artisans still master.
