  • Murano glass, handcrafted
The "Veronese" vases from Venini are a design by the artist Vittorio Zecchin from 1921. It was the year in which the Italian Murano glass manufacturer Venini was founded by the friends Giacomo Cappellin und Paolo Venini in Venice. The "Veronese" vase was the first glass object that the glass manufacturer presented to the public. This was how the vase became a trade mark of Venini. To celebrate its 90-year anniversary, Venini has brought out a special edition to celebrate the unique shape of the "Veronese" vase.

Achieving the superior colouring of Murano glass demands the utmost precision of the Venini glass blowers as they put together the various constituents. The traditional glass-blowing technique used by the employees of Venini to manufacture each piece is a craft that very few artisans still master. The secret techniques of glass art are passed on from generation to generation.

The Italian glass manufacturer Venini is located on the famous island of glass, Murano. Murano glass is one of the most exclusive and popular articles in the areas of arts and crafts.
