The "Les Jacquards Chiné" bed linen from Christian Fischbacher takes its inspiration from the traditional Ikat weaving patterns used for oriental sarongs.
For the Ikat technique, the threads are dyed in sections before weaving, which is what produces the typical diamond pattern. This design, known as Chiné, was already very popular in the eighteenth century, and it is currently experiencing – not in small part due to Christian Fischbacher's "Les Jacquards Chiné" bed linen – a roaring comeback.

Christian Fischbacher uses the Jacquard method for its "Chiné" diamonds - a technique in which endless patterns can be woven into the fabric. It produces a fascinating effect by creating different shades in the white cotton.
