The edges are delicately decorated with stylised palm leaves and there is a lotus leaf at the end of the handle, characteristic of the Empire style. "Malmaison" is the perfect choice to accompany dinner services with a coloured rim and also goes very well with more conservative styles. The cutlery pictured is solid sterling silver (925). Before first use wash silverware by hand with chlorine- and citric-acid-free detergent and use only the soft side of a sponge.
Do not machine-wash old knives (pre-1968) or cutlery with gold-plated parts, lacquered handles, horn or wooden handles.
In the dishwasher, use only chlorine- and citric-acid-free powders; avoid gels, liquids, all-in-one tabs, and citrus scents.
Always keep silverware separate from stainless steel – use separate baskets or programs if necessary.
After the cycle, open the door to release steam. Follow water-hardness instructions; Silverware should not be washed in the dishwasher directly after adding regenerating salt.
Foods like eggs, lemons, mustard, and fish may yellow silver - rinse beforehand.
Do not wash crystal glasses with silver (separate program).
