Bowls by Lalique
The French brand Lalique manages to imbue the otherwise rather cold appearance of glass with poetry and sensuousness: this applies for its bowl collections of finest crystal glass. For the production of its sparkling bowls, Lalique makes use of the wealth of experience of its skilled artisans. Each Lalique bowl is completely handcrafted in France.
The company founder René Lalique began to make objects of crystal glass in 1926. Nature and its beautiful creations provided him with an infinite source of inspiration for his own designs. The anemone flower for instance served as the model for the “Anemones” bowls. With the design of the "Anemones" bowls, René Lalique demonstrated once again what a virtuoso he is in his field: The delicate crystal flowers look deceptively real. The delicateness of the blossoms is perfectly reproduced in René Lalique's design.
Lalique bowls are not exactly featherweights either. The "Bacchantes" bowl by Lalique weighs 6.6 kilogrammes. However, it is not predominantly its size but its appearance that is so impressive.
