Anemones by Lalique
The anemone motif first appeared in Lalique's history in 1931. Anemones are very symbolic flowers: they stand for purity and innocence, and provided the company founder René Lalique with the inspiration for many wonderful crystal glass creations. The resulting "Anemones" collection comprises vases, bowls, perfume bottles and candle holders in which the anemone flower plays the main role.
A masterpiece from the Lalique company is the large “Anemone” vase. The delicate crystal flowers look deceptively real. Real technical skill is required to produce the fine details of an anemone flower with such an appearance of depth. The interplay of satin and transparent crystal glass produces the natural look of the individual blossoms. Enamelled white dots round off the natural appearance.
