About the brand Stelton
Simple, clear, stainless steel – the definition of a “Stelton state of mind”. This principle has been the core product philosophy of the Stelton design experts for more than 50 years. This stainless steel adventure began when Niels Stellan Høm and Carton Madelaire merged their first names, Stellan and Carlton, to create Stelton. The duo began a successful business selling household goods made of stainless steel, and in 1967 eventually cemented their fame with Arne Jacobsens‘ legendary Cylinda line, a totally revolutionary tea and coffee service. The clear style of the brushed steel surfaces and the functionalistic design of the teapot, coffee pot, milk jug and sugar bowl were well received by customers and experts alike. And Stelton’s product line of award-winning kitchen products continues to fascinate people today.
Stelton: Danish design classics made of stainless steel
The Danish company can boast other classic lines – stainless steel with an impressive appearance. The classic kerosene lamp was turned into a practical and minimalist designer piece with Stelton’s small and large ship’s lamps. Timeless beauty is also found in the ashtrays and watering cans from Stelton. One famous prizewinner is the classic oil lamp – a design by Stelton’s regular designer Erik Magnussen.
Since 1960, the Stelton brand has stood for top-quality Scandinavian design from Denmark: teapots, coffee pots and other glass and stainless steel household products in classic shapes.
