In 1982 the Hamburg craftsman Wilfried Moll designed the "Alta" cutlery for Robbe & Berking. Since then, this classic of the modern age has been awarded prestigious design prizes and is on exhibition in eight leading museums – as an example of exemplary, contemporary silversmith work. The beauty of "Alta" lies in its simplicity and its sensational profile. It toys with curves and elongated lines, with graduated widths and weight. The cutlery is a pleasure to look at and touch. "Alta" shows the superiority of form over frivolity and provides proof that true beauty is by no means about superfluous ornamentation. Silverplated cutlery by Robbe & Berking is manufactured using 150g silver. This robust silver plate is particularly resistant and is completely dishwashable.
