The design genius Philippe Starck created the "Log" dinner/steak knives for Forge de Laguiole. He has remained true to his unconventional style. Thus, the dinner/steak knives are reminiscent of logs in both look and feel. The irregularly thick handle of the knife has been designed in such a way that the surface resembles the bark of a tree. This design contrasts nicely with the gleaming stainless steel of the "Log" dinner knives.
The French cutler Forge de Laguiole ensures the excellent quality of this product. As in the past, each knife is the product of one cutler. Intricate handcraftsmanship produces a work of art. More than forty individual steps are necessary to create a modern "Laguiole". The blades from Forge de Laguiole are even sharpened and washed by hand.
