The sterling silver "12" cutlery by Robbe & Berking was created by the designer Daniel Eltner. He drew his inspiration from Robbe & Berking's own shipyard, where old yachts are restored according to original plans.
The focus of the shipyard and name-giving for the Robbe & Berking cutlery are the so-called 12m yachts. The number 12 is the final result of a formula according to which boats were built in the early days and which is composed of different boat sizes.

Robbe & Berking cutlery is dishwasher safe. Avoid using detergents containing citric acid and use dishwasher additives that are designed for use with dishwashers. Open the dishwasher immediately after the wash cycle has finished.
Important: Before first use and after each cleaning with a silver cleaning cloth and/or silver polish, the silver must be cleaned by hand with dishwashing liquid.
For hand washing, use a soft cloth or brush to avoid scratches.
However, due to the natural sulphur content in the air, this precious natural material will tarnish after a certain period of time. Slight discolouration can be removed with silver gloves or a silver cleaning cloth, while more severe discolouration can be removed with silver polish.
Avoid contact with eggs, citrus fruits and vinegar. Silver baths, bleach, aluminium foil and salt should not be used to clean silver.
