Granat by Hering Berlin

The "Granat" dinner service is a beautiful complement to Hering Berlin's pure white services "Pulse" and "Velvet", because "Granat" provides some exciting colourful counterpoints. The plates are adorned with hand-sketched pictures of pomegranates in shining cobalt blue. Cups and bowls are decorated with pictures of plants which appear as if magnified under a microscope.

The unmistakable hallmark of Hering Berlin's design is to be recognised in the items' extravagant shapes. The plates and bowls have large, generous borders which give the porcelain an air of weightlessness, and the modern, feminine elegance of the cups is enchanting.

All the items of the service are of translucent, glazed porcelain - except for the edges of the plates which have a mat, bisque porcelain finish and provide an interesting optical contrast. Despite the sophisticated artistic quality of the service it is extremely convenient to handle and is, of course, suitable for the dishwasher and microwave.

Cleaning:
Bisque porcelain is dishwasher safe. Remove stubborn residue by soaking in soapy water and cleaning with the scouring pad of a sponge. Use abrasive cleaners only on unglazed surfaces.

For bisque porcelain with precious metal decoration hand washing is recommended, but some decorations are suitable for the dishwasher. Use a soft sponge and mild detergent, not the abrasive side. When using a dishwasher, select a low-temperature program and the recommended amount of detergent. Ensure that the pieces do not touch each other and that steam can escape after the program has finished.

Avoid temperature shocks. To avoid friction when stacking, we recommend using intermediate layers (e.g. "Artedona" plate dividers).

Microwave:
Pieces without gold, silver or platinum decoration: microwave safe.
Pieces with gold, silver or platinum decoration: not suitable for microwave use due to high precious metal content.
