The sides of the mouth-blown "Bug Painted" tumblers from Artel are dotted with beetles, dragonflies, butterflies and all kinds of special winged creatures, as if jostling around a sweet smelling flower or a lamp on a summer’s night.
Inspired by the botanical drawings dating from around 1700, these animals are depicted in elegant gold, copper and rosé colours. On the delicate crystal-glass sides of the small tumblers and whisky tumblers in the "Bug Painted" set by Artel, the hand-cut engravings really stand out superbly — they take a number of days to complete as they are made uniquely by hand in Prague.
