For the "Samurai Warrior" sculpture Lladró has taken its inspiration from the warriors of Japanese premodern era to create an imposing sculpture that expresses the qualities that define these protective guardians: restraint and strength. Each detail looks so real that one can assume that the sculpture is almost alive.
The "Samurai Warrior" figurine by Lladró is made of stoneware, an ideal material for larger sculptural creations, and decorated with enamels. When crystallized in the oven, these pigments take on a wealth of nuances that are different in each piece, so that each figure is unique and cannot be replicated. Each piece is completed by the decorators' work on the armour. The helmet and the saya for example, are engraved entirely by hand.
