"Siam" vases by Gien

The "Siam" vases are the result of Gien's collaboration with the designer Alnoor. For the designer, the emotional message of an object is essential, i.e. in the best case an object designed by him appeals to our consciousness or our feelings. His aim is to create objects of desire that people want to touch and own.

Designer Alnoor selected vases and vase shapes from existing vase ideas by Gien, reassembled them and gave them contemporary colours. A leather belt is the distinctive design highlight. Another special feature is a inner base that is at the same height as the leather belt. This means that the vases can be used from both sides.

Available in two sizes and three colour ways, the "Siam" vases by Gien promise many possible combinations that invite you to play with colour and height. The colours have been selected to mix and match with numerous Gien decors.

Faience is a fine, porous earthenware which is tin-glazed and then fired repeatedly. This thousand-year-old art of porcelain manufacture has been used by Gien since 1821. Gien is 100% Made in France. The manufactory controls every step of production, from the selection of raw materials to the mixing of colours.
