Wrapped around a delicate branch of pink-red coral, made of enamel, there is a thin brass ribbon plated in 24-carat gold or in platinum. This ribbon is, in turn, twisted around a ring through which the napkin is drawn — giving the appearance that the branch of coral is stranded on the napkin.
