"Béarn" salt and pepper mills by Ercuis

The silverplated salt and pepper mills "Béarn" with their Peugeot grinders are classic designs from the French manufacturer Ercuis. What we love about these classics? The mills are fitted with Peugeot grinders made of special surface-coated steel. Naturally, separate grinders were developed for the salt and pepper mills in order to meet the individual requirements. The grinder used for Peugeot's salt mill was conceived to grind coarse, dry sea salt. In the pepper mill, counter-rotating, funnel-shaped teeth catch the pepper and grind it either coarsely or finely, depending on the setting. The pepper is thus crushed, which produces the optimal aroma.
