The teeth of the Peugeot grinder are of tool-steel which makes them incomparably sharp. The steel of the Peugeot grinder has been treated against corrosion. This retains the cutting quality and guarantees the long life of the product.
Naturally, separate grinders were developed for the salt and pepper mills, in order to meet the individual requirements. The grinder used for Peugeot's salt mill was conceived to grind coarse, dry sea salt. In the pepper mill, counter-rotating, funnel-shaped teeth catch the pepper and grind it either coarsely or finely, depending on the setting.
