"Velvet" for sushi by Hering Berlin

With the "Velvet" tableware from Hering Berlin, you automatically have more than just one dinner service. That is because the shapes of the many individual pieces of "Velvet" can also serve as a practical sushi set. Stefanie Hering’s dinner service is completely handmade from smoothly polished bisque porcelain.

Japanese delicacies can be elegantly presented on the "oyster bar" or the extra large oval tray. The normal-sized oval trays make ideal sushi plates. The ginger that is essential for a Japanese meal can be placed in the ice bowl. This sundae bowl is used to serving different purposes. It has already proved its versatility as a soup bowl.
The "Velvet" butter dish will hold exactly the right amount of soya sauce for a portion of sushi. The Japanese wasabi horseradish can be served stylishly on the softly curved "Velvet" porcelain spoon.

Cleaning:
Bisque porcelain is dishwasher safe. Remove stubborn residue by soaking in soapy water and cleaning with the scouring pad of a sponge. Use abrasive cleaners only on unglazed surfaces.

For bisque porcelain with precious metal decoration hand washing is recommended, but some decorations are suitable for the dishwasher. Use a soft sponge and mild detergent, not the abrasive side. When using a dishwasher, select a low-temperature program and the recommended amount of detergent. Ensure that the pieces do not touch each other and that steam can escape after the program has finished.

Avoid temperature shocks. To avoid friction when stacking, we recommend using intermediate layers (e.g. "Artedona" plate dividers).

Microwave:
Pieces without gold, silver or platinum decoration: microwave safe.
Pieces with gold, silver or platinum decoration: not suitable for microwave use due to high precious metal content.
