Sushi can be referred to simply a Japanese dish, but it is actually far more than that. It is a culinary speciality that has its own special rituals and naturally its own very special sushi tableware. Besides a little cup for the soya sauce, a traditional Sushi condiment, such sets includes a dish for the wasabi (the spicy “Japanese horseradish”) and naturally chopsticks.
The "Velvet" for sushi by Hering Berlin is a modern interpretation of the ritual. For example, a broad-headed spoon is provided for the wasabi, and there is a small dish for the soya sauce that can also be used as a "butter dish". In fact, in the meantime, it is almost inconceivable for a multicultural kitchen to be without sushi dinnerware.
