"Mossi" candle vases by Lalique

Some of the designs from Lalique have managed to become icons ̶ as is the case with the "Mossi" line. Instead of a smooth exterior surface, the "Mossi" candle vase by Lalique has lots of crystal glass knobs. These reflect their surroundings in thousands of little pictures, exactly like a kaleidoscope.
The candle vase has a stainless steel lid. This is not only decorative, it protects the vase against dust when it is not being used. When a candle is burned inside, the lid serves as a protective coaster for the candle. As its name reveals, when the candle vase is not being used as a candle holder, it also serves equally well as a small, pretty vase.

In 1926, the company founder René Lalique began to create objects out of crystal glass. Today, Lalique products are coveted collectors’ objects, also because they recount stories. René Lalique managed with his creations to breathe poetry and sensuousness into the rather cool material of glass.
